Significant achievements at the Aluminium in Architecture Awards 2021 for LEED GOLD certified office building in Athens.

The contest Aluminium in Architecture Awards 2021 has awarded under the category for sustainability the company Klearchos Maleas Architects & Co for the 7- storey office building in Athens. with:

1. Silver award in Sustainable Construction
2. Bronze award in Sustainable Architecture Design

Many concepts were presented incorporating contemporary design models, innovative solutions and ideas for using aluminum in construction and were evaluated by an independent judging committee of senior executives from the construction sector along with architects and academics.
The winners of all categories, as they were announced by the judging committee, are listed here.

Mr. Klearchos Maleas (Managing Partner of Klearchos Maleas Architects & Co and on behalf of A&D Architects and Designers), after the announcement of the results, stated:

“Our constant goal is the creation of buildings which integrate harmoniously with the environment incorporating the required usability for the investor. This construction is a modern, fully functional building which supports an innovative development in the area. Due to the implementation of specialized specifications, has been certified at Leed Gold level in terms of its energy footprint in design and construction. This would not have been possible without the excellent cooperation with the multinational Real Estate Development Company Ten Brinke Greece, which assigned us this important project which we are all proud of. Finally, I personally thank the committee for honoring us with these two awards, which will be added to our previous distinctions, as well as the team of associates of A&D Architects and Designers who contributed to this success.”
